Release Notes | February 2025

Wow, it's been a minute since we last published official release notes—but that doesn’t mean we haven't been busy! We’ve been rolling out powerful new features, streamlining workflows, and fixing those pesky bugs to keep things running smoothly. This year, we’re making it a priority to keep you better informed about all the ways Texture can help you manage and optimize your energy data.

Whether you’re new to Texture or a longtime user, there’s always more to explore. Check out our newly updated website here and dive into our blog here to stay in the loop.

Now, let’s take a look at what’s new!

#🚀 New Features

#New Enrollment and Program API

A powerful new API that enables seamless enrollment into energy programs, making it easier than ever to manage participation and track program status. Read more here.

#New Schedule by Tags API

Introducing tag-based scheduling, allowing users to apply schedules dynamically across multiple devices or customer groups based on predefined tags. See the new endpoints here.

#Discharge Scheduling

Users can now set automated discharge schedules directly from the Device Detail page. This feature enables precise energy management, allowing devices to discharge at optimal times based on grid demand or custom configurations, improving efficiency and grid compliance.

#AI Insights on Devices

Our new AI-powered analytics tool provides real-time device performance insights. It identifies anomalies, offers predictive maintenance alerts, and suggests energy-saving strategies based on usage patterns, making energy management smarter and more proactive.

#✨ Enhancements

#Faceted Filtering

Searching for specific data is now more intuitive. Users can filter by multiple attributes across customers, devices, and sites, making it easier to locate relevant information quickly without navigating through large datasets.

#Activity Feed Filters

The Activity Feed now includes advanced filtering by event type, allowing users to isolate important system updates and device activity. You can see your whole network’s activity on the Homepage or by individual device through the Device Detail page.

#Bills & Smart Interval Data

The Customer Detail page now integrates detailed billing insights and real-time smart interval data through Arcadia and UtilityAPI, giving users a comprehensive view of their energy usage, cost breakdowns, and trends over time.

#Create New Customer from Customer List

Easily add new customers directly from the Customer List, reducing friction in account setup and management.

Users can now generate deep-linked Connect Links directly from the Customer Profile page, streamlining the process of generating a new link with customer data.

The Customer Profile now displays detailed Connect Link statuses, allowing users to track pending, completed, and expired connections at a glance. This update provides better visibility into customer onboarding progress and troubleshooting.

  • Pending: The link has NOT been clicked.
  • Started: The link has been OPENED, but the user has not finished the flow yet.
  • Success: The user has COMPLETED the flow and their device is connected.

#🔧 Fixes & Optimizations

#Map Search and Filtering on Sites

The map view for Sites is now back in production! Users can now filter and search the map just as easily as the table. Any filters applied in the table view will persist when switching to the map, providing a seamless experience. Additionally, URLs update dynamically for both tables and maps, ensuring that shared links correctly reflect the filtered results and chosen view type. The system also remembers your last-used view (table or map) in your browser’s storage, so the next time you visit Sites, it will default to your preferred layout.

#Connect Form Improvements

The Connect Form has been redesigned with a cleaner interface with additional fields that match the API reference. You can now deeplink to an OEM, set a reference ID, tag, display name, and redirect URL.

We’re excited for you to try these updates and make the most of what Texture has to offer! If you have any feedback or ideas, we’d love to hear from you—drop us a note here.
